REGGULATOR PATENTED CAP
Offers precise temperature control with intuitive aperture settings.
It’s weather-proof, rust-proof and burn-proof. Hell, for a cap, it’s pretty normal-proof. The new rEGGulator offers unprecedented control over your EGG. With better burn efficiency and duration, faster heat-up and cool-down times, and a whole range of sustained temperature settings. You’ll be cooking better, eating better and living simpler before you know it. When you’re all done, close the cap to extinguish your EGG. That’s all there is to it. The rEGGulator will come as standard through 2019.
Tel-Tru Dome Thermometer
A weatherproof high-temperature silicon gasket gives accurate internal working dome temperatures between 100C - 400C

Which is exactly why we put them on the EGG. You can calibrate your Tel-Tru thermometer for long-term accuracy and responsiveness in any outdoor environment.
HAND-CRAFTED CERAMIC DOME
Perhaps the most iconic feature of a Big Green Egg is the hand-crafted dimpled green dome lid.
Our dimpled lids are iconic for a reason: they’ve got the credentials to back up the hype. Each one is made by artisans in our award-winning factory in Mexico, and designed for the ultimate heat distribution experience. You’ll never have to turn your food again. Every EGG has a weatherproof coating tough enough for all kinds of weather and comes with a lifetime warranty.

HIGH-TEMP GASKET SEAL
Keeps your EGG air-tight while cooking to maximize charcoal efficiency.
You know what’s not okay? Waste. That’s why we amped up our Gasket Seal game. This clever piece of design engineering keeps your EGG 100% airtight. If that doesn’t sound like something to write home about, it means you can make just one lump of charcoal last up to 24 hours. We know. It’s quite something.
The best part is, because they’re made from our proprietary heat-resistant material, they’ll stand up to the hottest temperature you’ve got. Oh, and if you’re a clumsy chef cooking Sloppy Joes, don’t worry. They’re easy to replace too.
PATENTED QUADRA-LINK HINGE SYSTEM
Offers a stable and safe hinge system that will open your EGG wide; then will reset the dome back on top of the base with balanced precision every time.
This patented re-alignment system will mean your EGG dome sits squarely on the base every time you open and close the lid. It’s spring-loaded too, making the lid effortless to lift and gentle to shut. You’ve probably seen similar hinges in stainless steel. That's not for us. We use a special coated alloy instead. It’s rust-proof, which is a bonus, but most importantly it prevents expansion under heat. That’s why we’re not normal; with these hinges, you’ve got a lid for life.
INSULATED CERAMIC BASE
It’s not normal for a barbecue to be made from NASA inspired high-grade ceramics - but it is for the Big Green Egg!
EGGs get HOT. 1000C hot. So, just to be sure we made them out of NASA-inspired high-grade ceramics. For some, that’s overkill. For us, it’s what makes cooking on the EGG so great. It allows you to maintain a better cooking temperature, and keep fuel to a minimum. Even better, it means you get amazingly moist food and no flame flare-ups. Go on. Try and burn something, we dare you.
PATENTED DRAFT DOOR
One of our first patented innovations, the sliding draft door with spark protection screen allows one to control the inbound flow of air into the EGG.
We pioneered this one: a spark-protecting sliding draft door for ultimate airflow control. In essence, it works like a wood-burner: the wider you have it, the hotter the EGG gets. Together with the rEGGulator, we’ve never seen airflow so precise. The best part is once you’ve got your temperature where you want it, that’s where it’ll stay. 15 hours +, easy.

CONVEGGTOR CERAMIC PLATE
This is the most important part of the EGG, for sure. The Conveggtor turns your barbecue into a pizza oven, a smoker, or a low-and-slow roasting machine. It’s made from the same NSF certified ceramics as the EGG itself to ensure total temperature stability and retention. We’re talking leave-it-overnight levels of stability and retention. The Conveggtor is one of things that our competitors, try as they might, attempt to copy the most. It’s pretty flattering, really.

CAST IRON FIRE GRATE
The Fire Grate sits inside the Firebox. It is perforated to allow airflow up through the EGG and also allowing any ash to drop down for easy removal after cooking. The Fire Grate is included with an EGG purchase.
ONE-PIECE CERAMIC FIRE BOX
Our Fire Box stands up to searing temperatures without breaking a sweat. Founded on our tried and tested technology, we’ve built this design marvel to prevent any kind of breaking or cracking.
